The Window Rock international Uranium Film Fest at the Navajo Nation Museum focuses on films about nuclear power, the nuclear industry, uranium mining, nuclear waste and nuclear weapons and their impacts. Films about victims and environmental consequences of the nuclear fuel chain from mining to atomic waste.
Indigenous filmmakers compete for the Klee Benally Earth Protector Award for Best Indigenous Filmmaker. The „Klee Benally Earth Protector Award“ comes with a prize money of US $ 1,000 donated by a collective of grassroots individuals.
Young filmmakers compete for the Samuel Lawrence Foundation Jury Award for Best Young Filmmaker. This award is accompanied by a $1,000 cash prize donated by the Samuel Lawrence Foundation (SLF),
