'Sundays' by Alauda Ruiz de Azúa wins the Golden Shell in
San Sebastian

The feature film Los domingos / Sundays (Spain–France), directed by Alauda Ruiz de Azúa, has won the Golden Shell at the 73rd edition of the San Sebastián Festival.
The story of this teenage girl, who announces that she wants to become a nun and retreat to a cloistered convent, deeply resonated with both critics and audiences at the Festival. The latest film by the Basque director has also received the Feroz Zinemaldia Award, the FIPRESCI Prize, as well as the Zinemira and Signis Awards.
Once again, Spanish cinema has triumphed in San Sebastián, offering us a glimpse of the direction the national awards season is likely to take.
