My new film of our warm dialogues with missis Yoko
Ono-Lennon
"Yoko Ono: the Yoke of Audacity" (poetic reel by Anna Polibina-Polansky; released in November, 2024; in Moscow).
Here is my lyric short devoted to my warm dialogues with missis Yoko Ono-Lennon and to her breathtaking, amazing artistic lifeline. A precise conception (continuation of beatnics and Kerouac, but in lyrics) of the hippies' genre in lifestyle and music, evidently occurred to John Lennon at the late stage of the existence of the group. However, I do not investigate social conceptuslizing, but, rather, inner pholosophy and mechanisms of romanticism and unusual, elated feelings. The Beatles instrumental music illustrates the screen plot comprised of poetic stanzas.
The 2nd version of cutting is dedicated to my acquaintance with Julian Lennon, a subtle, charming man and the lyricist's elder son. My allegories are dubious, vast, of piercing ambiguity, comprising years of genre practice and of existential experience, of my protagonists.
Here is my sheerly allegoric vision of the Beatles' later repertory. I am a partially Orientalusticcfilmmaker and acutely feel the tonality of the Eastern idealism and the strokes for the unforeseen iconoclastic reality behind the visible row of events. Human taste, traits, subjective features dominate the poet's capricious vision and bohemian lifestyle. His stanzas, plots, themes, genres are fresquently doomed to grow prophetic, no matter how accidental or chaoticly occurring...
I learned the complicated mode of the scope of those genres, when I abode at the former English colony (an isle) back in 2014-15. I visited Arabian discoes, as well as dances under the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Synatra. I coped with British lords elder than my parents.
So here is my poetic shortful of Yoko Ono-Lennon and of our vivid, warm, unforgettable talks (New York - Moscow). By Anna Polibina-Polansky, screen essayist, poetess, publicist.
