Anton announced today that it has locked distribution deals in key international territories for the action-thriller Fuze starring Aaron Taylor Johnson (Bullet Train, Nosferatu), Theo James (“The White Lotus,” “The Gentlemen”), Sam Worthington (Avatar films), Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Disney+’s “Loki”), Elham Ehsas (Showtime’s “Homeland”), Honor Swinton-Byrne (A24’s The Souvenir), and Saffron Hocking (Netflix’s “Top Boy”). Anton will unveil a new sales promo for the film at EFM.
Directed by David Mackenzie (Hell or High Water, Outlaw King) and with a script from Ben Hopkins (Inside), Anton has sold the rights to Fuze to Garsu Pasaulio Irasai (GPI) for the Baltics; The Searchers for Benelux; VVS Films for Canada, Australia and New Zealand; Arna Media for CIS/Russia; MediaSquad for Eastern Europe; SND for France; Square One for Germany and Switzerland; Feelgood Entertainment for Greece; PVR for India; PT Prima Cinema for Indonesia; Forum Film for Israel; Leone Film Group for Italy; Sun Distribution Group for Latin America, Spain, Portugal, and South Africa; Salim Ramia & Co for the Middle East; Nordisk Film for Scandinavia; Ukrainian Film Distribution (UFD) for Ukraine and Echo Lake Distribution for Airlines. Anton previously announced that Sky had picked up the action-thriller for theatrical release in the U.K. and Ireland.
Fuze reunites Hell or High Water director David Mackenzie with leading man Aaron Taylor Johnson, having previously partnered together on 2018’s Outlaw King. The film opens with the discovery of an unexploded bomb on a London construction site. The ensuing mass evacuation is perfect cover for serious, organised crime.
Fuze is produced by Gillian Berrie (Outlaw King, Tetris) for Sigma Films and Sébastien Raybaud (The End We Start From, Greenland) and Callum Grant (Jackdaw, Cleaner) for Anton.
Anton is financing Fuze as well as representing worldwide rights to the film, with UTA Independent Film Group and WME Independent co-repping U.S. rights with Anton. The film wrapped production in London last summer and is currently in post-production.
