The Arts: A Proven Economic Powerhouse
"The arts are not just a cultural asset—they are a cornerstone of economic growth and national prosperity," said Tim Daly, Actor and President of The Creative Coalition. "The arts sector generated over $1.1 trillion in 2022, accounting for 4.3% of the US GDP. More than 3.48 million Americans rely on arts-related jobs. Investing in the arts is one of the most effective ways to drive economic growth, job creation, and innovation."
Robin Bronk, CEO of The Creative Coalition, underscored the urgent need for federal support, "Every $1 invested in the arts generates nearly $9 in economic activity—fueling job creation, small business growth, and community development. Yet, federal arts funding remains a fraction of a percent of the national budget. Supporting the arts isn’t charity—it’s sound economic policy. Strong arts programs correlate with lower crime rates, thriving local economies, and higher student achievement. It’s time for policymakers to recognize the arts as a national priority."
With the strategic framework established at the National Arts Advocacy Summit, The Creative Coalition’s Delegation is prepared to engage with key lawmakers to advocate for increased federal arts funding, ensuring that the arts remain central to national policy discussions.
Since its founding, The Creative Coalition has been at the forefront of arts advocacy, mobilizing the entertainment industry to champion policies that support arts education and public funding. Right To Bear Arts Day 2025 transforms strategy into action, reinforcing the importance of the creative economy.
