This special edition coincides with the Brazil-France Season, commemorating 200 years of cultural and diplomatic ties — a timely occasion to spotlight shared history and spark new creative and cross-cultural collaborations in Cannes.

This year’s program is proudly presented in partnership with the Ministry of Culture of Brazil and in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs — through the Guimarães Rosa Institute (IGR) and Brazilian Embassy in Paris — and with the support of the Brazilian Trade & Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil).

Shining a Spotlight on Brazil in the Festival's Official Selection

Brazilian filmmaker Kleber Mendonça Filho will present his new film The Secret Agent (O Agente Secreto) in competition at the 78th Festival de Cannes.
