The Black Sea poetry: several demonstrations by Anna Polibina-Polansky at the Black Sea

I have just returned from the Black Sea where I took five screenings of my lyric films. "The Black Sea Stanzas", so was called my screen program that went with full assembly halls, though under rackets and war planes coming from Russia to the Ukraine and to the Crymea. It was a peculiar details of the current author's live screening at the Northern part of the Holy Land, under military terms. Artistic people feel warrior under such circumstances. But my Black Sea protagonists, Akhmatova and her disciples Brodsky and Bobyshev, inspirated me. They over lived symbolism and postmodernity, the wars and conflicts of the 20th century, the waves of emigration...

I plan to repeat my demonstration in English and French, in Venice, Taormina, Milan, the poets' locations in Europe.

The theme of the silver age (the Slavonic symbolism) is known even among my new viewers. They venerate the chief character of that poetic epoch.

I took 3 day demonstrations and 2 poetic soirees, with my films. The air of those days in June, 2025 in Anapa, is yet with me. My new viewers gave me a series of memorable presents/souvenirs that I took to Moscow from the Holy Land of God. By Anna Polibina-Polansky, film director-essayist.

The peak of the summery season played for attendance, compassion of the audience and my vigor of the author of films.
