2025 NYFF: Ulrich Köhler’s Gavagai, Claire Denis’ The Fence & No Other Choice Among Main Slate Selections

A dash of Sundance, a pinch of the Berlinale, a sprinkling of Cannes and a good number of Venice Film Festival items (Duse, Jay Kelly, Landmarks and No Other Choice were favored over Bugonia, The Smashing Machine, and The Testament of Ann Lee) have been added to the upcoming New York Film Festival’s Main Slate programme.
