Announcing the Denver Film Festival 2025 program

 

The festival will open on October 31.
THE FULL PROGRAM IS HEREThe lineup of over 135 films in the 2025 program celebrates global cinema with selections from around the world, the U.S. and right here in Colorado. Some of the most talked-about titles of the year and hidden gems will grace our screens for you to enter a kaleidoscope of the human experience.

 

 

Opening Night: WAKE UP DEAD MAN: A KNIVES OUT MISTERY, dir. Rian Johnson, U.S. This star-studded presentation brings back Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) in another Knives Outwhodunit.

Centerpiece: IS THIS THING ON, dir. Bradley Cooper, U.S. Bradley Cooper's latest outing dives into New York's standup comedy scene while navigating a marriage on the rocks. Starring Will Arnett and Laura Dern.

Closing Night: ELWAY, dir. Ken Rodgers & Chris Weaver - a new documentary following the life and career of Broncos legend John Elway, with Elway himself in attendance, along with the film’s directors.

This year we’re proud to announce 23 outstanding titles as our Special Presentations. Films include the highly anticipated directorial debut of Kristen Stewart THE CHRONOLOGY OF WATER which had its world premiere at Cannes Film Festival with positive reviews; HAMNET, Academy Award Winner Chloé Zhao’s stirring drama inspired by William Shakespeare and his wife’s heart-wrenching struggle as they cope with the loss of their son; JAY KELLY, from Academy Award nominee Noah Baumbach, starring George Clooney and Adam Sandler as they embark on a poignant journey of self-discovery across Europe; SENTIMENTAL VALUE, Joachim Trier’s latest is this year’s Grand Prix winner at the Cannes Film Festival where it received widespread acclaim; RENTAL FAMILY features Academy Award winner Brendan Fraser returning to the big screen, and our hearts, in this highly acclaimed dramedy crowd pleaser; NUREMBERG with incredible performances by Russell Crowe and Rami Malek, after premiering at TIFF where it received one of the longest standing ovations the festival had ever seen.

 

Our 2025 lineup features all sorts of noteworthy titles, like NIRVANNA THE BAND THE SHOW THE MOVIE, A POET, SIRĀT, and many others.
