Final week and Awards Ceremony of the 18th CinEast
Festival

The festival is entering its final week and will come to a close this weekend with the Awards Ceremony on Saturday 25 October at 7pm at Kinepolis Kirchberg followed by the screening of the festival’s Closing film Mother by Teona Strugar Mitevska - an unusual look at the life of Mother Theresa, with Noomi Rapace in the main role (visuals). During the ceremony the various juries will announce the winners of the festival awards.

The 18th edition of the festival will offer Luxembourg audiences over 120 cinema screenings of a selection of 65 feature films and 50 short films from 20 Central and Eastern European countries. The festival programme will also include meetings with around thirty guests, 5 film debates, 5 concerts (including a cine-concert), a major photography exhibition Disruptions at Neimënster (until 25/10), an exhibition of Polish filml posters at the Ancien Cinéma Vianden, screenings for young audiences, and a Focus on Poland. It should be noted that a significant number of films is also available online via our CinEast Online Cinema, a dedicated VOD platform (https://cineast.eventive.org/welcome) until 10 November.
