Why Film Festivals Are the Best Antidote to Imposter Syndrome

Every filmmaker knows the feeling.

You finish a project that took months—or years—of sacrifice. You submit it to festivals, hoping someone will connect with the story. Then, even when an acceptance email arrives, a small voice starts whispering:

They probably made a mistake.

My film is not as good as the others.

I do not really belong here.

That voice is imposter syndrome, and it can affect filmmakers at every level.
