PÖFF launched the first-ever AI film recommender

The brand new AI assistant and film recommender Susi knows the PÖFF programme inside out. Susi is dedicated to helping you find the films in the festival programme that match viewer's unique preferences.

PÖFF is setting a groundbreaking precedent as one of the first film festivals in the world to adopt AI technology to enhance audience engagement. By integrating an AI-powered personal recommendation system, PÖFF is revolutionizing the festival experience, allowing viewers to navigate the festival's extensive film offerings in a more personalized and efficient way.

"A festival-goer can now avoid the overwhelming task of manually browsing through the schedule and instead let the AI recommend films based on their interests and previous favourites," says the Head of Administration at PÖFF, Mikk Granström.

Susi helps users not only discover new films but also select events from Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event’s extensive conference and business programs​.

Just Film Festival Celebrates 24th edition

Just Film Festival Celebrates 24th edition with a diverse lineup of international youth films. All together there will be 52 film screenings this year. In the International Youth Film Competition Programme there are 11 films, 4 of which are world premieres, 1 international and 4 Baltic premieres. 

The International Youth Film Competition will be judged by a youth jury as well as a three-member international jury. The latter will award the Just Film Grand Prix along with a €3,000 grant. In the international jury there are: Tanel Toom, Estonian Oscar-nominated film director and screenwriter (Directed "Truth And Justice" and "Last Sentinel"), Koen Mortier author, director, and producer ("Ex Drummer", "Angel" and "Skunk") and Diane Iljine a Culture, Media, and Film Professional, former Director of International Filmfest Munich and board member.

Just Film Industry Days

All things related to youth and children’s films. Easy access to networking, learning and pitching! 

The two-day industry gathering focused on youth and children's films takes place during Industry@Tallinn and Baltic Event on 20-22 November 2024 in Tallinn, Estonia. 

It offers opportunities for networking, learning, and pitching film projects, with an emphasis on international and educational growth. Key features include a partnership with KIDS Regio, which brings fresh networking formats like "The Fck Up Night", and insights from a Europe-wide study “Keeping up with children as an audience” on children's viewing habits. 

The event introduces a new children’s and youth film category in the Baltic Event’s Co-Production Market, with a focus on full-length features, documentaries, and animations. All the selected projects are eligible to compete for the main prize - The Eurimages Co-Production Development Award, including a 20,000€ grant for selected projects.
