Producer and global sales executive Pia Patatian announced
the launch of Concord Studios: see you at AFM

Producer and global sales executive Pia Patatian today announced the launch of Concord Studios, an independent production, sales and financing company focused on original and high-quality director driven films for a theatrical audience. Based in Los Angeles, the company will launch 12-15 feature films per year for the global marketplace, with the majority of projects earmarked for a theatrical release. Patatian will serve as President of Concord Studios, which is financed by private equity.
Patatian, who has deep relationships with filmmakers, creative talent and industry executives, most recently was President of Worldwide Sales at Arclight Films where she led sales on titles including Paul Schrader’s Cannes competition title Oh, Canada, Renny Harlin’s Deep Water and the romantic comedy Under the Stars starring Toni Collette and Andy Garcia, which she produced. Prior to that, she served as SVP of Sales for Capstone Pictures where she led international sales on titles including Kandahar, Fall, Silent Night and The Estate and ran the company’s operations in London. During this time, she executive produced Abel Ferrara’s Padre Pio and Lionsgate’s Manodrome starring Jesse Eisenberg, Adrien Brody and Odessa Young.
Concord Studios’ slate includes the mystery thriller Assassination with the newly announced cast of Academy Award-winner Jessica Chastain (Eyes of Tammy Faye, Zero Dark Thirty, Interstellar), Academy Award-winner Brendan Fraser (The Whale, Killers of the Flower Moon) and six-time Emmy-winner Bryan Cranston (“Breaking Bad,” Trumbo) who join Academy Award-winner Al Pacino (The Irishman, Scarface). The film is directed by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Barry Levinson (Rain Man, Bugsy) from a script by David Mamet, with Levinson and Sam Bromell (Elvis).
Assassination reveals a new take on the JFK conspiracy, centering around Dorothy Kilgallen, one of the most famous voices in media at the time. When Dorothy suspects that Lee Harvey Oswald did not act alone, she uses her fame and influence to find the real killer of JFK. Part murder mystery, part thriller, Dorothy’s journey will put her up against the CIA, Mafia bosses, and the FBI, all who would love nothing more than to make her and this story disappear.
The film is produced by Corey Large (Paradise City, It Follows) alongside Jason Sosnoff (The Survivor, Wizard of Lies) for Baltimore Pictures. Large is also financing Assassination, executive produced by John Burnham, Bernie Gewissler, Pia Patatian and Jordan Nott. Production is set to begin in early 2025 in Boston, MA.
Concord Studios is handling worldwide rights to Assassination, launching sales at the American Film Market. Production is set to begin in early 2025 in Boston, MA.
“There has been a profound shift in the independent landscape and audiences are looking for new and original movies to enjoy when they choose to go to the cinema. Drawing from my relationships with filmmakers and creative talent, Concord Studios is driven to bring compelling and high-quality content to the big screen,” said Patatian. “And I couldn’t be more excited to launch Concord Studios with Assassination and our stellar cast led by Jessica Chastain, Brendan Fraser, Bryan Cranston and Al Pacino – it’s a fascinating and gripping thriller set in paramount time in American history and the stars have truly aligned.”
Prior to her roles at Arclight Films and Capstone Pictures, Patatian served as Director, International Sales at Blue Box International (a label of Red Granite International) and Director of Sales and Marketing at Kathy Morgan International, both based in Los Angeles. She began her career at Universal Pictures in Madrid as the Senior Manager of Promotions and Trade, where she worked on Mamma Mia and Inglorious Basterds. Patatian, who hails from Spain with Lebanese and Armenian origins, received an MBA from the Instituto de Empresa, a BS in Business Administration from the Universidad Autónoma in Madrid and a Degree in International Economics, Marketing & International Business from the Business School Economics in Copenhagen, Denmark.
