Alex Vlack’s Feature Directorial Debut Co-Stars Tom Sturridge and André Holland

Leading global entertainment company Palisades Park Pictures is launching international sales ahead of the Cannes Film Market on writer-director Alex Vlack’s feature film debut, The Revisionist, starring Academy Award winner Dustin Hoffman (Tootsie, Rain Man), Alison Brie (Promising Young Woman, “Glow,”), André Holland (Moonlight, Selma), and Tom Sturridge (Netflix’s “The Sandman,” On the Road).  The announcement came today from Palisades’ CEO, Tamara Birkemoe.  WME Independent is handling North America rights.

The Revisionist is produced by Arielle Elwes, Veronica Radaelli, Fiona Robert, Sophia Robert, Zachary Spicer and Alex Vlack. Executive producers are Cassian Elwes, Paul Robarts, Andy Steinman, Jeffrey Michael Deary, Hunter Gray, Gordon Strain and Jeremy Chilnick.  Production recently wrapped in Louisville, KY.

In The Revisionist, Elise, a successful novelist, does what so many writers do: she manipulates and transforms the people in her life into the characters she needs for her story. As she blurs the line between fiction and reality, her world descends into secrets, lies, and outright betrayal. The project is an exploration of the psychological lengths to which a writer will go to achieve their art.

“The Revisionist is entertaining, touching, and a thoroughly compelling movie that keeps you guessing at every turn. It has something for everyone,” said Birkemoe.  “We’re very excited to be working with such stellar talent and bring Alex’s vision to audiences worldwide.”

Palisades Park Pictures’ Cannes slate also includes the epic family adventure The Magic Faraway Tree starring the multi award-winning cast of Andrew Garfield, Claire Foy, Rebecca Ferguson, Nicola Coughlan, Emmy Winner Jessica Gunning, and Jennifer Saunders; The Jim Henson Company’s live action monster tale Grendel, starring another powerhouse cast including Jeff Bridges, Dave Bautista, Bryan Cranston, Thomasin McKenzie, Sam Elliott and T Bone Burnett, and the sci-fi thriller Eyes in the Trees starring 2x Oscar winner Sir Anthony Hopkins and Golden Globe winner Jonathan Rhys Meyers.
