Tonight, Julia Ducournau returns to the Cannes red carpet for the second time with her new feature film ‘Alpha’, starring Mélissa Boros, Golshifteh Farahani, Tahar Rahim, Emma Mackey, and Finnegan Oldfield. Ducournau’s ‘Titane’ won the Palme d’Or when it premiered in Cannes back in 2021, and most recently, she was on the Feature Films Jury in 2023. ‘Alpha’ follows the story of Alpha, a troubled 13-year-old who lives with her single mom. Their world collapses the day she returns from school with a tattoo on her arm. As a past Palme d’Or winner, audiences are watching Alpha closely for the potential of it being this year's Palme d’Or winner.
