In an even split, and in two different waves, Italian filmmaker Mario Martone has populated the Un Certain Regard section with L’Amore molesto (1995) and Theatro di guerra (1998), then worked mostly as a stage director for operas before returning this time in the competition with 2022’s Nostagia (read ★★★ review) and now Fuori (which will receive its domestic release in Italy this month).
