Submissions Open for the 60th Chicago International Film Festival

Celebrating 60 years in 2024, the Chicago International Film Festival is now accepting entries for feature length, documentary, and short films!

Presented by Cinema/Chicago, we are North America's longest-running competitive film festival. We screen films from around the world across a wide variety of competitions and programs.

 

In 2023, the Festival screened 161 short and feature-length films from 53 countries in Chicago and with guests joining us from around the world.

Additionally, we are an Academy Award©-qualifying Festival for the winners of our Short Film Competitions. Festival selection Nǎi Nai & Wài Pó by Sean Wang was nominated for Best Documentary Short Oscar!

Submission deadlines are:

  • Early Bird Deadline: April 8, 2024
  • Regular Deadline: June 10, 2024
  • Late Deadline: July 1, 2024
